At Last! November 2, 2005 Reviewer:  loki "loki" (Louisiana)

I bought one back in the dark ages (ok, 1970's) and lost it several years later. I've been looking for a replacement ever since. These things are fabulous! They really do save charcoal, clean themselves and snuff out the fire too! I used mine all the time and it was far easier to travel with than any other grill I've found. The only change I see here is that the main unit is now steel where it was cast iron when I got my first one. Still, I'm going to try this and see if it lives up to it's predecessor. The "snuff out pouch" is really wonderful too as it lets you put the hibachi back into the car trunk without having to wait for everything to cool back down.

Best Little Barbeque in Washington! July 6, 2007 Reviewer:  Eloise (Washington State)

I received one of these a few weeks ago as a gift. I tried it out a couple of days later and was pleasantly surprised. First, I hate to build fires. The Son of Hibachi's simple system for lighting was easy even for me. The cooking was great; cook time for steaks was just about 10 minutes. Heat was well distributed and consistent.
The next day we used the rotisserie- I had never used one of these before, but it was pretty easy and made me look like I knew what I was doing.

Happy Cooking July 25, 2009 Reviewer:  Happy Mom (Nebraska)

This was perfect for our vacation, and worked awesome. It did not take up a lot of space in the truck, and was so easy to use. And when your done it goes right back in the bag. No waiting for ever for it to cool down. We have also used it on little day trips were we can just grill lunch in the park. I would recommend this as long as your not cooking for a bunch of people. We cooked for six people on our vacation, and that was about max.
