DAC Featherlight SL Poles
DAC Featherlite SL aluminum tent poles were designed with two main objectives: to offer a high strength-to-weight ratio and to slide easily through tight pole sleeves typical of expedition tent construction. The result is an expedition tent pole that has an even higher strength-to-weight ratio than the original Featherlite pole, and one that works well with tent sleeve construction. This design includes an insert tube with a thinner wall than the main tube giving added strength to the sleeve joint. This construction detail eliminates excess weight and is balanced by a small strengthening tube at the joining position. Found in TNF`s 3-Season and ultralight tents, DAC Featherlite poles are up to 15% lighter than aluminum poles of comparable strength. Additionally, DAC Featherlite poles are less susceptible to failure because pole linkages are based on extrusion instead of glued-in inserts.
Fly Only Pitching
There are times when it`s important to move light and fast. Utilizing thoughtful design, tents can become even lighter. By reducing the load to the lightweight tent fly, poles and the optional footprint(sold separately), a tent becomes a convenient fly-only shelter. Easy to set up, the fly-only shelter offers ideal protection in milder weather and reduces critical weight.
MicroClip
These strong, ultra-light clips employ a camming action to lock onto the pole and hold it securely in place. The result is a lighter weight clip with improved strength and holding power.
Silicone Flysheet
These flysheets provide water repellency with a silicone water-resistant finish as well as a polyurethane coating. Silicone flysheets are more resistant to UV breakdown, and are lighter and more compressible than traditional flysheets for easier packing.
